Project Summary
DMP worked with PT Nestle Indonesia on their Nestle Healthy Kids (NHK) program in 2018. The objective was to evaluate the success of the program, which entails the provision of nutrition, hygiene, environment cleanliness and physical activity for Elementary School students. The NHK program was conducted in 4 batches since 2015 with a total of 256 schools beneficiaries. However, the evaluation was conducted in 33 sample schools (out of 102 Schools), which are part of Batch 3 and 4, located in Bandar Lampung, Tanggamus, Karawang, Pasuruan and South Jakarta.

The first focus is on Balanced Nutrition. DMP looks at various factors, such as healthy lunch pack and healthy snacks at the school cafeteria. The NHK program also focuses on the importance of physical activities for children.
Other focus was on self hygiene and environment cleanliness. The program encourages CTPS (Clean Your Hand with Soap) practices.

The FGDs were conducted with students, parents, teachers and school's principal. DMP also collects data from Bappeda, Puskesmas, UPTD, Health Dept, etc. After the evaluation, DMP offers some recommendations for the future of this project.
