To evaluate the challenges facing Rote Island on stunting among children under five, and its relation to pregnancy health as well as determining the key behaviors.
Project Summary
One of the biggest issue in Rote Island is stunting among children under five. Thus, in 2023, SurfAid launched an initiative called ROTE MALOLE that is conducted in 12 villages, in four sub-districts of Western Rote, focusing on 1991 families with children suffering from stunting.
DMP collected the data for this report using a desk review, which reviewed all project documents, as well as conducting household survey, FGDs and KII. The three main indicators are pregnant women's nutritional intake according to Isi Piringku; parent's behavior to provide nutritional foor for children under two; and father's role in shared household chores.
